I love the collision of subject matter and color in Catherine Ledner’s photographs. I know art doesn’t have to be “pretty” or even visually appealing, but these sorts of photographs are the sort I’d like on my walls. I'm drawn into the absurdity of the work and the pairings of certain animals with the wallpaper/backgrounds behind which they are photographed.
Oh yeah: she also has a book called Animal House.
